Ars Rhetorica Digita

The McLuhan Global Research Network and Dr Liss Jeffrey, University of Toronto, in association with the Inventio conference on Rhetoric, and Dr Michael McDonald, Waterloo University, conference chair, are pleased to announce the launch of the early phase of a new online project: Ars Rhetorica Digita.

Our goal is to convene a virtual gathering of those interested in extending the power of classical rhetoric into the digital era, through exchange of resources, links, ideas, and opportunities to reflect critically on the enduring relevance and inventive genius of the rhetorical tradition.

We begin our explorations with a draft of a paper delivered by Dr George Pullman (First Paper), from Georgia State University, at the Inventio Conference on Rhetoric held last summer at the University of Waterloo in Ontario, Canada. We are grateful to Dr Pullman for starting this thread.

If you wish to contribute to the discussion, or post links, resources, lists, or introduce your work, you may post in the online forum on this web site or send a message to admin2007@mcluhan.org. We will announce further developments soon.
